Accomodation

The Nanyang Executive Center is the only available accomodation inside the NTU campus. Close to the NTU campus is the Genting Hotel in Jurong East. Other hotels are generally closer to the city center nearby Chinatown, Little India and several touristic places. NTU campus is accessible by public transportation.

Nanyang Executive Center

The Nanyang Executive Center is the only available accomodation inside the NTU campus. The address is at 60 Nanyang View, Singapore 639673.

From the Changi airport to NEC, there are two routes:

  • Use taxi, with cost about S$30 to S$50 depending on the time.
  • Take MRT, and alight at Pioneer station, and then take bus No. 179 and alight at Canteen 2 of NTU (exact amount shall be paid with cash on bus). NEC is about 200 meters north-east from the bus stop. This route costs about S$2 and requires about 90 minutes.

The price for a standard room is S$160++, which includes a complimentary breakfast and internet access. The rate is subject to 17% taxes (++). NEC has offered the attendees of ASK 2015 a 10% discount on the guestroom rates.

To book, follow the guide here, and quote "ASK 2015" in "school and department" section. Ensure your reservation is done fast, NEC is generally filled up quickly.

The hotel is located about 1.4 km from the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, it takes about 20 mins walking. There are also free NTU buses (campus loop blue running clockwise, and campus loop red running counter-clockwier) between NEC and SPMS.

Genting Hotel in Jurong East

The Genting Hotel Jurong opened in May 2015, and is located near the Jurong East MRT station on the East/West green MRT line. The address is at 2 Town Hall Link, Singapore 608516.

The same route can be used to reach Genting Hotel as the one for the NEC in NTU campus. The alighting station should be Jurong East MRT, followed by a 5-minute walk to reach the hotel lobby.

Genting Hotel Jurong offers NTU corporate rates for the attendees of ASK 2015. The price for a superior room is S$150++, and $S170++ for a deluxe room, not including the 17% taxes (++).
