Thomas Tan graduated from NTU with a doctoral degree in Applied Physics and his interest lies in programming and simulations. His current research interest is metamaterial plasmon coupling and high Q devices.

Dr. Manoj Gupta

Manoj has earned his Ph.D degree in Applied physics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2019. He completed his bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. He has working experience in oil sector, as well as in education sector.

Dr. Tan Yi Ji

Research Interest: Artificial Intelligence, Topological Photonics, Spatiotemporal Wave Shaping

Yi Ji graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a PhD in Applied Physics in 2023. His current research interest is directed towards unravelling new physics in topological photonics, as well as the inverse design of photonic topological insulators.

Dr. Wang Wenhao

Research Interest: Terahertz Spectroscopy, Terahertz Photonics

Wenhao obtained his Ph.D degree in Physics from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2022. His current research interest is using photonic topological insulator for terahertz wireless communication, and bound states in the continuum.

Dr. Baolong Zhang

Research Interest: Generation of strong terahertz pulses based on lithium niobate crystals and their interaction with matter.

Baolong obtained his Ph.D. degree in the field of Optical Physics from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2022. His main research direction was the generation of strong terahertz pulses through the interaction between intense femtosecond laser and lithium niobate crystals, and the nonlinear interaction between intense terahertz pulse with condense matter.

Dr. Jonghyeon Kim

Research Interest: Terahertz Spectroscopy, 2D magnets.

Jonghyeon earned his Ph.D. in the Department of Physics from Yonsei University, South Korea, in 2020. His current research interest is the development of terahertz emitters using 2D magnets.

Zhonglei obtained his Ph.D degree in Mechanical Eigineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China in 2023. His current research interest involves topological photonics-based terahertz communication and sensing devices.

Dr. Nitish Kumar Gupta

Nitish earned his Ph.D. degree in Photonics Science & Engineering from IIT Kanpur, India in 2023. His current research is targeted towards finding new topological phases in periodic photonic structures and describing them from a unified perspective. He has a prior professional experience in the energy sector as well.

Bodhan has obtained his M. Tech in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with a specialization in RF and Photonics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. He is currently pursuing a PhD degree in Applied Physics at NTU, where he is investigating the on-chip integration of topological photonic crystals and hybrid electronics-photonics for terahertz applications.

Abhishek's current research focuses on studying the topological phases of light particularly in the terahertz frequency and ultrafast terahertz spectroscopy. He is also involved in building the testbed terahertz wireless communication system for 6G communication using the photonic topological insulator-based terahertz transceiver. He received his doctoral degree from NTU, Singapore.

Dr. Ashish Kumar Chowdhary graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati with an MS and PhD in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. His current research interest involves the exploration of the exciting field of hybrid electronic-photonic integrated circuits for 6G communication devices.

Dr. Patinharekandy Prabhathan

Prabhathan received his Ph.D. degree in Optics and Photonics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2012. He worked as a post-doctoral research fellow in the same university in different departments, including the School of EEE and Rolls-Royce @NTU Corporate Lab. He also has experience in an industry job from ASM Technology, Singapore Pte Ltd.

Dr.Yogesh Kumar Srivastava is currently a faculty at Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He earned his Ph.D degree in Applied physics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2019. He has industrial experience as Materials Failure Analysis Specialist at Finisar Malaysia.

Dr. Panahandeh Fard Majid

Research Interest: Terahertz technology for diagnosis

Dr Majid Panahandeh Fard is a senior research fellow, obtained his PhD from the Division of Physics and Applied Physics, NTU in 2015. His focus of research is the commercialization of terahertz technology for the diagnosis industry. He is developing a breathalyzer for detecting respiratory infectious through exhaled breath.

Dr. Manukumara Manjappa is currently a faculty at Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2019 from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore. His research interests include reconfigurable metamaterials, quantum sources, ultrastrong light-matter coupling and ultrafast spectroscopy of quantum materials.

Dr. Yang is currently a faculty in College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering, Zhejiang University, China. He received his PhD degree in Electronics Science and Technology from  Department of Information Science and Electronic Engineering at Zhejiang University, China in 2017.

Dr. Govind Dayal

Research Interest: Plasmonics, Metamaterials, Infrared spectroscopy

Govind is currently a faculty in Department of Physics, Banaras Hindu University, India. He aims to explore ultrafast control of plasmon-molecular interaction in both linear and nonlinear regimes to develop and advance infrared spectroscopy techniques.

Dr. WenXiang Lim

Research Interest: Resonant Metamaterials

WenXiang received his doctoral degree in Applied Physics from Nanyang Technological University in 2018. His research interests involved integrating metamaterial system with novel material platforms as active medium to realize dynamic control of resonances and developing high-Q Fano resonance in metamaterial system from optical to microwave regime

Longqing obtained his PhD degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2017. He is currently a faculty in Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

Dr. Song Han

Research Interest: Dielectric photonics, dielectric laser/THz accelerator, and bound states in the continuum.

Song Han received his doctoral degree in Applied Physics from Nanyang Technological University in 2020. He is currently working as a research fellow in the School of Electronic Engineering, NTU, Singapore.
